Set for use of our Studio 12 Stage Matinee on Sundays from 1pm - 4pm, we have a number of events on their way that you might be interested in so tell your friends! Limited space available...

OCTOBER 29TH: JAZZ/LYRICAL WORKSHOP WITH KIYA - Ages 4 - 16
These workshops will be jazz and lyrical focused. Ages 4-16 will have an hour and a half of both jazz and lyrical. 

For those who are new to lyrical, lyrical is a mix of both jazz and ballet. It follows more of a story line and aims to tell that story throughout the dance.

Jazz is more energetic and sassy, and allows dancers to express their sassiness on stage. It does not follow a story and is more about the quick moves and crisp lines. 

Both are very fun styles to learn and have many overlapping steps! During the workshop you will be taught a short combination to music that you will perform in groups during class!

REGISTRATION: Limited Capacity of 15 - $10 per student per workshop
JAZZ: 1PM - 2:30PM
LYRICAL: 2:30PM - 4PM

Alexis was raised in the small town of Holdfast, Sask where she first fell in love with dance. She spent most of her time dancing at Dance Plus Lumsden training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, musical theater, tap, and lyrical. She also has her C.D.T.A jazz certificates from primary to grade 3 and her C.D.T.A tap certifications form grades 1 to 3. She has been competing since she was 4 doing solos and moved into group competition at 8 where she has competed at a number of competitions in Sask. She has been training for 14 years and is now ready to share her passion and love of dance through teaching. 

In Alexis’s classes, students will be given a safe and positive environment where they are free to express themselves. It will be a space to learn and grow for new or returning dancers. The classes will emphasize technique, musicality, cooperation, and expression. 

We're excited to officially launch our Dance Programs for this coming school year! You can now log-in to your account and find the dance classes of your choice.

We're looking forward to bringing back our Tap Beginner class(ages 4 - 9) with Brett on Wednesdays as well as a request Lyrical class(ages 10+) on Tuesdays with Kiya!

NEW INSTRUCTOR
We'd like to welcome Alexis to our team this year! From small-town Holdfast, she brings many years of training to her classes while she attends University here in Saskatoon. Alexis will be teaching our Saturday Ballet Classes and you can read more about her on our Website Bio Page linked here.
